What to expect

A clear path from your story to the first listen.

A personal song works best when the process feels calm and predictable. Here is what you provide, what Dear Chorus handles, what the 24–48 hour target means, and how to get the most from your included revision. Effective September 7, 2026.

01

Before checkout

Share the situation in your own words. You may write, record yourself talking, or do both. Include exact names, pronunciations, dates, places, inside jokes, meaningful phrases, and anything that must be avoided. Every guided question is optional.

02

When the clock starts

The 24–48 hour target begins after payment succeeds and the story contains enough information to begin. If a critical detail is missing, we will contact you and timing begins or resumes when we receive it. The window is a target, not a guaranteed deadline; we will communicate material delays.

03

What creative direction means

Mood, genre, energy, instrumentation, and voice choices guide the work rather than guaranteeing an exact performance. Describe qualities instead of asking for a living artist’s exact style. Leaving a choice open gives Dear Chorus discretion to select a fitting direction.

04

How the song is made

Your submission is organized into a production brief that separates confirmed facts from unknowns and creative direction. Tools may assist transcription and exploration, but a person reviews facts, pronunciation, lyrics, audio quality, and privacy before delivery.

05

What arrives

Every order includes a private song page, custom cover artwork, a designed digital lyric sheet, and an MP3. The Full Story also includes WAV audio, an instrumental version, and a share-ready visual. Save your downloads after delivery.

06

Privacy and sharing

Your materials are private by default. Anyone with the private link may be able to open it, so send it only to people you trust. Dear Chorus will not feature your story or song publicly without separate, explicit permission.

07

Using your revision well

Listen once for the feeling, then again for facts, pronunciation, and specific lines. Collect every in-scope change into one request and send it within 7 calendar days. Technical problems are handled separately and do not use the revision.

08

If the song is for an event

Order with extra time for review, download all files, test the exact device and sound system, keep an offline backup, and confirm duration with the venue or organizer. Dear Chorus cannot control venue equipment, internet access, or last-minute schedule changes.

09

When to contact us

Email John@DearChorus.com if you have a deadline question before ordering, if we request a missing detail, if delivery is delayed, if a private link should be disabled, or if any purchased file does not work. Include the order number, but never send card details or a private link token.
